Hello, hello. There's really nothing happening today. Classes are over until January. I read a neuroscience textbook in two sittings. Fascinating stuff, how the brain works, and what it does when things go wrong.
Going to NYC on Sunday. I'm in for a 12-hour train ride, which I've done a few times before and regretted. Good thing I bought some cheap computer games to keep me occupied (bless the Amtrak lords for the electrical outlets they provide).
Has anyone seen the proposed developments for the WTC site in Manhattan?
Here they are. At least they're not letting Frank Gehry loose on it...

ive never spoken first person to my grandmother about her story. i get all my information piecemeal from other family members. i mean we talk about the nazis and we talk about how hard it was, but she doesnt talk about her experience. she looks at me and i can see the thin wall she has errected to hold back the pain in her eyes though.
