Yah, so Hump Day is over. Cool. Did a bug show in the morning for a bunch of spoiled 3-5 year olds in an upper-crust daycare center. They loved the tarantula, though.
Went to an linguistics talk, which was pretty interesting. The refreshments were tasty. Took a 2 hour nap in a common room with nice comfy couches.
Girlfriend has moved out of hospital into a hostel-style residence, which has its ups and downs. The place is full of patients, family, medical students, and drunk college kids who're keeping her up at night.. But it seems to be working out nicely, for all its inconveniences.
I'm feeling alright, what can I say. It's a good feeling.
Sort-of living thing of the Day
What's this, you say? Some kind of giant squid? No, folks, it's the future of disease control! This is a bacteriophage, a virus that infects bacteria and kills 'em. They've been feeding people these things in Russia for a century, and they kill off bacteria better than any antibiotic can. Plus, they can evolve to match antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Coming in the far, far future to a pharmacy near you (thank the big pharmaceutical companies).
