Ah, there's nothing like starting a paper and getting a few hundred words done (I'm such a college kid...). Starting can be the hardest part, don't you agree? I'm still a few stories short of what I need for my project, so if anyone cares to contribute...
Who am I kidding, I'm lonely. My girlfriend is moving out of hospital to a residence on Monday and for some reason wanted to go home for the weekend, even though she knows that whenever she's around her parents and friends she always starts feeling depressed and withdrawn. They've never taken the time to understand her and what she's going through (ten years of eating disorders) and always end being destructive to her recovery. I hardly get to see her anymore...*sigh*

CAENORHABDITIS ELEGANS, or C. elegans for short. Name means "elegant little stick." This microscopic worm is one of the most widely-used animals in basic genetics research. It shares about 40% of its genes with humans.I handled the critters myself a few months ago, and found them to be remarkably cute.

don't feel shunned by your lady btw. the thing with family is that even when they are shoddy and treat you pretty badly, at least they owe that to you. with anyone else it can feel like an imposition, so if you need looking after it's easier to allow someone to do that out of obligation rather than as a favour. chin up! x
