Music releases I'm excited about: Grinderman, Humanwine, etc.
I need a new job so I can dispense with the old one. It makes me feel like I'm doing very little, and isn't challenging me. I'm just a cog in the capitalistism machine, but I really want to be that monkey wrench. The cycle of work and weekend, staying in and going out, and stress(granted there is very little stress) and relaxation has been old for quite some time. Lately, thought of grad school have been haunting me, and so I've begun thinking about it(with no regard as to how I would actually pay for it). Today I realized that perhaps I should look into studying linguistics rather than more writing workshops and lectures on the art of fiction. The idea that words are so powerful and so meaningless at once interests me. Everything abou the way people communicate intrigues me. How did language develop from grunts to such a sophisticated series of rules? There are some many languages thus many ways to say the same thing, but all have slightly different meaning, and...it's so fucking fascinating to me. No one should ever stop seeking knowledge.
