hi, i'm back from my vacation and i did what i wanted to do which was forget about everything here and just enjoy myself over in las vegas. it was good for me to relax and not worry about anything but it was also bad to not care since i can't afford it. well, it wAs my first time in sin city and it was very surreal. lights flashing and blinding me everywhere seducing my senses until i couldn't stand it anymore. i only spent $2 on gambling and ,well, the rest went to strippers. stupid me.
i saw some beautiful things in vagas though like the water show in front of the belagio casino and hotel. music from elton john played in the background while water was spurting out of the enormous lake making patterns and making the water look as if it was suspended in air.
the pirate show at the mirage was lackluster because it didn't really have much adventure as i was expecting. it was show about male pirates against female pirates dancing and wearing tight clothing. i was bored but drunk so i had managed to make the show better in my head with everyone actually killing each other and more explosions.
well, i walked around the strip with a 40ounce in one hand and a marlbro cig in the other and not caring what the crowds of families thought. i also noticed that many underage girls there in las vagas like to wear tighter clothing and also like to show a little more than i'm used to. prostitution is legal so i was handed more than a dozen flyers from the lines of mexicans with pictures of georgia peaches and mature women naked and waiting for me to call.
while my friends talked shit and wandered around i was just observing and staying quiet for most of the time. the city is overwhelming with it's superficiality giving people the idea that you can make it as long as you spend a lot of money. forget families spend $4 on a tiny keychain with an m&m peanut picture.
i thought a lot about if there was any sort of art and music scene there in vagas but i was in the wrong place. the streets were surprisingly clean everywhere i went and i didn't any homeless people except for one far from the main attraction near a grocery store(ugh, i can't write but you know what i mean).
have you been to vagas? isn't it insane? i wasn't even drunk a lot of the time to numb my mind i had flashing lights and waitresses with huge breasts.

but, it took my lips about a week to heal from the dry heat.
thanks for the welcome...
the number one big archaeology question: why?
as in: why did this culture develop in this particular way, and what can that tell us about how culture develops as a whole. of course, this assumes that you believe that there is some sort of overall scheme to cultural development.
