SO yesterday I went to the track with Will Bill. I was putting down some really fast laps and feeling like I used to. About 6 laps in to the second moto, I cut inside of a slower rider in a turn. This makes it more difficult to clear the next double, but still not that hard. I get on the gas harder to clear the jump since I have a shorter run. I lose traction and the bike spins side way as I'm going up th face of the jump. NOT GOOD. Right at the top of the ramp the bike hooks up and shoots me 60 degrees to the left of my intended path.
I'm now flying sideways and almost completed upside down off the track. My flight is now taking me over the side of a very steep hill. I kick away from the bike as I'm about 12 feet up. I can't get my feet back underneath me, and I land right on the small of my back. I roll to a stop and I can't breathe. I curl up onto my elbows and knees and try to relax. After crouching like that for about 2 minutes as everyone is asking if I'm ok, I stand up. Sharp pains shoot through my lower back and trailbone.
My bike is stuck in a bushy tree about 40 feet from where I landed. We pull the bike out and I ride back to the truck.
All night last night I was trying to convince myself I didn't do it again, not another broken back.
A person can't possibly break their back three times in their life, can they?
We'll soon find out, Will Bill is giving me a ride to the hospital in about 20 min.

Damn! Yeah, I hope you're alright, too. I've actually never broken a bone. Just a horribly dislocated shoulder once.
