I have been on a movie freakathon the last week...here's what I've seen (with my ratings)
1. T-3 (eh) Not that great. T-2 a lot better. I liked the sci-fi elements of the story, but the direction was weak and it seemed to parody T2 more than create it's own story.
2. Pirates of the Carribean (Very Good) Johnny Depp makes the movie with his very funny character. Amazing special effects. A decent, fun summer movie.
3. Spike and Mike's Animation Festival (Stupid!)
I first saw Spike and Mike's annual film of animation shorts when I was a kid with my Dad...that was awesome. My 1st encounter with Wallace and Grommit. Very smart animated films, very good animation. This time around, it just seemed like a gross out contest. The animation was pretty crappy for the most part and all the shorts were either about poop jokes or finding the most disgusting way to kill something. Disappointing.
4. Legally Blonde 2 (Really fucking Stupid)
Holy shit! I saw the first legally Blonde simply because it was the only movie playing that late in the theater and was very surprised at how smart it was. Funny, touching, all that crap...So I went back for the second film....ugh. "let's make the same movie only this time let's take out everything that was smart, funny and heartwarming about it! All right!...Legally Blonde 2: Legally sucks!
5. Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle (Fun)
This movie makes fun of itself just as much as everyone who hasn't yet seen it does. I found it to be a decent summer action flick, with a nice element of camp. Plus I'll take Drew Barrymore any day.
6. Sinbad (Actually it wasn't bad)
I only saw 3/4 of the movie before I had to leave to make the last showing of 28 days later, but what i saw wasn't bad. The animation was ok, nothing special, the voice was decent, nothing too special, but the story was very good. I'm a sucker for mythology, maybe that's why I liked it.
7. 28 Days Later (pretty good)
A new take on the Apocalype/Zombie genre.
Very original, the story moves along like a simpson's episode going from one story plot into another (which I like). It's all about surviving. I'm not sure what else to say about it except that you should see it instead of me giving away any plot points. SO do it already!

OK My cousins made me see Legally Blonde 2 and I can't believe they actually MADE that pile of crap! have you seen the first one? it wasn't that bad. I mean the first 30 minutes I thought my head was going to explode from the sheer ditziness of everyone and the "totally"s but after that it actually had some plot and grew on me like Clueless..
but this one was SOOOOO dumb!
And I loved Charlie's Angels...people who say it was horrible try to expect too much of it, but it was a good fun girls-kick-ass movie.
going to see Pirates tomorrow night..woohoo!
