Hey SG friends,
I am excited as hell about The World's first show this Sunday! My World staff and I have been working very hard over the last several weeks to get everything up and ready and now the time is almost here!
I'm hoping this not only turns out to be a successful run of shows, but also something that can bring the improv and stand up communities closer together and improve everyone's lives (no kidding).
My general philosophy is that everyone should have a good time. I know that's impossible, but when I put up a show that is my intention. I want everyone to feel welcomed and everyone to enjoy themselves.
In Chicago I had a good run of about 5 years where I played to mostly packed improv houses, but even better than that were the friendships and relationships I personally enjoyed and those of other people that I feel I had a hand in establishing. Lots of friendships, working relationships and even a couple of marriages have come about through people meeting at my Chicago shows. I really hope New York City turns out to be as rewarding both on stage and off.
I hope people don't think I'm promoting too much, I've been a member on here since 2003 and well, this is my life, this is what I do and so it's what I talk about on here.
Anyway, if you're free Sunday night, I hope you can make it to The World's first show and then hang out with us afterwards.
Here is the message I've been posting all over the place:

The World's Best Show
Sunday, March 5th at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7PM)
The Improv Cafe (318 West 53rd Street between 7th and 8th)
Message me to get on the VIP list (no cover, choice seating, 2 drink minimum!)
Hey friends,
I've been telling most of you how awesome I am at improv for years! Well now I'm going to put my money where my mouth is because I'm performing an improv set along with the fantastically talented Kara Lee Burke (Sara Schaffer is Obsessed With You) and Shelly Stover (Best Actress Award at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival).
Besides my awesome improv there will also be amazing sketch comedy from Michael Feldman and his troupe Fresh Meat, who have been wowing festival audiences all over North America!
Plus insanely fantastic Stand Up Comedy from Karith Foster (VH1's Best Week Ever and Comedy Central's Premium Blend) Jill Twiss (Bud Light Ladies of Laughter) and Amanda Petit (Think Sarah Silverman).
If that weren't enough, after the show join me, the rest of The World staff and audience for our official World after party. Featuring drinking, flirting, cussing, loving, rocking rolling and just generally having fun!
I hope you can make it!
