I gotta tell, pretentious people bother me. Not even because their stuck up, but because of things they're pretentious about. For instance, that Nintendo Wii is fucked thread from the Gamers community. I try not to post on there because I hate to say it but I can't stand these trend geeks that are coming out of the wetworks. Hell it goes with a lot of the reasons I quit dressing like a goth (yes I used to do that). I quit because people were being stuck up and opinionated about the most stupid shit. And they'd all go along with the most popular person's opinion or their favorite team (which could translate to band or game console company).
Its that whole cheering for your home team bit. If its a game or done for the process, its fun. If its done seriously it sucks.
Man I hate trends. Its annoying because its forever makes me a hypocrite. Course I say that. If I think of it as following a trend that changes things. Mainly because its following. If I like something its because I like it, not because its a trend. See what I'm saying?
Man I hate most gamers. No that's not general enough. I hate all these opinionated as hell internet bloggers who wage wars in chat rooms and message threads across the globe in hopes of not being wrong and/or keeping a popular image of being more hardcore than the last poster.
Anyway, I'll quit bitching. I just spent the evening doing homework. Practice was fun today. We ran through our set three times and then played some songs we hadn't played in a long time. Its going to be a fun gig Tuesday. Oh and we'll be playing again at the Eagle opening up for EgoLikeness December 21.
We've also already started talking about our CD release party. We want it to be all ages so we're looking at renting out Bob's (Cain's 2nd Stage) on a week night. It costs twice as much to rent it on a weekend. Its kind of silly to talk about now because as is we still need to come up with $1200 to order the CDs in the first place. You'd think that wouldn't be hard with five memebers in a band but as is it almost seems nigh impossible.
Oh and t-shirts will either be in Tuesday or the following Monday.
Anyway, I'm gonna take a sleeping pill and pass out.
