First off news.
My appointment is next thursday not this one so... yeah.
That's all for news.
So I watched a couple hours of Fox News and a couple hours of CNN last night. It was weird. They both said completely opposite things. Some things I noticed.
The economy. Fox said is was good and people just think its bad. CNN said it was bad. The difference? CNN just said it was bad whereas Fox posted a ton of numbers taken from some government website. From what I gather the US economy is actually doing really good. The only problem is Bush keeps spending a ton of money, more than most liberals could ever dream of. But I'm confused as to how the economy keepts getting better when this happens. Unemployment is at something like 4%. Crazy huh? Fox thinks the reason people aren't giving Bush credit for the economy is because of the unpopularity of the Iraqi war. Oh and evidently Bush has kept the economy in good, increasing numbers for something like 5 years? Pretty good when you consider 9-11, the Iraqi War, and Katrina all with the same President. Oh and CNN did a lot of Bush/Reagan comparisons but I didn't pay much attention to that.
And of coures both channels spent a good amount of time bashing on the opposing political party. Fox wouldn't shut up about Kerry's statement on the troops. I mean Jesus Christ, just hit the guy and forget about it. Course it is funny that even the Democrats are like, dude, stop it! CNN's big rant was a much appreciate bit on how not conservative Bush is. That I definitely enjoyed. Conservative's are supposed to be about small government and Bush is obviously the direct opposite. Actually the whole taking away our rights bit is a bit more social if you think about. In a socialist government, we would sacrifice our rights for the greater good. Isn't that exactly what he's doing with this war on terror? Course he wouldn't have these wartime powers if it wasn't for World War 2 juggernaut FDR. Course we probably wouldn't have gone to Vietnam without those powers too. Probably.
Now let's talk about the troops. And the war. This is my biggest criticism of the war critics. We have a volunteer army folks. Seriously. These people had to go and sign up. Some of them might not be happy about being over in Iraq. Tough. And that one guy who said he wasn't going to shot anybody? Why the hell is he in the military in the first place? SERIOUSLY! The military serves one basic function. Killing shit. Brute force. It is not there for any other reason. From that function comes the attack and defend aspects but you can't defend yourself against violence with peace flags. Our army has not been about only protecting our country for almost a century now. Just so there are no miscommunications, I think our troops rock. At least the ones that signed up to be troops.
Now as for the Iraqi war well... People are idiots. Okay the President says we want to go remove this dictator from power and fix this country up with a democracy even though its surrounded by fanatical anti-US countries. Does this sound like its only going to take a couple years to you? Does this sound like its connected to 9-11 to you? The US population was so blood thirsty after 9-11 they were too stupid to realize that no, Iraq didn't have anything to do with our revenge. If you're going to claim Bush is wrong for pulling one over on you with the Iraqi war then you were a fucking idiot. Sorry, but its true. You may not be an idiot on all aspects of life, hell you may be an absolute genious everywhere else, but in this one area you were an idiot.
Now on top of all this... what do people really think war is? How is putting a fucking bullet through someone's skin NOT VIOLATING THEIR CIVIL RIGHTS!??? SERIOUSLY!!!! So then why are you suprised when they lose rights in other places? How do you think information is extracted out of a religious or patriotic fanatic? They're being that person in the movie that says "do what you will. I'll never talk". And then they wind up naked and on a leash with a gun stuck up their ass. If you're going to die because someone is attacking you, what willl you do to live? Throw a couple punchs and kicks. Try to be that martial arts master that you're not. And when all the gentlement fighting techniques are gone what's next? Bite off their ear? Ripe off their dick? Shove a shard of glass in their neck? War is not nice. This is one area people cannot afford to be igorant in and for some god damned reason they are. "Oh my god, you mean their killing in a war? You mean before they die someone might mutilate them?" Fucking morons.
Politics always piss me off. Everytime I watch any news or hear anyone talk politics my blood starts to boil. I don't have any solutions for the world. I don't know how with all the countries that don't like us. Frankly I don't care much about other countries. Well that's a lie. I care about them to the extent that I would like to see their lands with my own eyes but that's about it. And I do actually care if people don't like me but I don't mind living with that knowledge. Our system is a bit broken but I can't think of any other government I'd rather live under.
I think there is a problem with education. But I think its at a parental level and I don't think there's a solution. Comic books brought this to my attention today. Most comic readers are biased towards either Marvel or DC. It mostly depends on which one interested them the most as a child. Later in life if they start buying comics again or are still collecting they are going to probably go with whichever they remember liking best. Well they actually wind up like political parties in that they bash on the opposing comic company. Both comic companies put out some horrible comics and make the same mistakes but it doesn't matter to the customer. Its the same deal with religion and politics. Not too many people change religion for good. And not too many people change political parties for good either. The child's relationship with the parent directly affects the political party they stick with. Not always but it definitely happens to a degree. If they get along with the parent, it will probably be the same. If they don't get along with the parent it will probably be different. Its weird how associations and subtle influences throughout a person's life affects them. Well actually its not weird its just different thinking about it.
Anyway, that's all I got for now.
Okay after reflecting for a moment I realized something that insanely pisses me off about liberal media. They 're telling us what happens in war because they think people don't know. That's an insult to me. They think I'm too stupid to realize that when you point a gun at someone they're going to die or become injured. Personally I think people do know what war is about. I know my post just said the opposite but my post was a reaction to watching Fox and CNN. My real enemy is these jackasses we let tell us what to think. I'm talking about the politicians and corporate big whigs in Walmart and fucking Hollywood and news channels. It should be against the laws for programs claiming to report news to report anything other than a plethra of thorough facts. It should be against the law for Walmart to make a whole neighborhood move to improve a section of a city's economy. It should be against the law for hollywood to rape our minds with this crap. And the TV channel E! should be against the law period. I hate that station.

Don't let your blood boil. It's all just thoughts.
I would never want to be anything other than American, even if Bush could be re-elected two more times, that won't change. And I am not that much of a Bush-hater, I think he thought (thinks) he is doing what is best.
I would never want to live anywhere else or have dual-citizenship or anything like that.
I'll never forget when I was your age, I was having lunch with some people right after O.J. Simpson took off in his white bronco (before the trial started). An old lady that I did not know very well said they would never convict O.J. of murder because the police were afraid of "all of the blacks rioting in L.A." My blood started to boil and I stood up and said that wasn't the way things worked at all in America. Who turned out to be more right? My point is that is hard to have convictions in an imperfect world.
When are we going to have lunch again?

And Labour. That was a good one. Thanks.
