Today's topic: Influence! Are you above? Or below?
But seriously, influence is always so crazy. I swear my mind comes to this subject at least once a year and stays on it for a month because I'm always amazed at how easily we all influence each other.
My mind came to this topic today when I cleaned my room. I noticed my mind was feeling healthier than it had been in weeks. I have been severely depressed the last few weeks. Maybe the last month. Yeah boo hoo, I don't care. Its information presented for a point. That old saying that went something like 'an organized room shows an organzed mind' or maybe swap organized for clean or something like that. Anyway its been going through my head since my room's beend trashed for the last month. So I cleaned it and my car in preparation for band practice tomorrow. Afterwords I noticed how good I felt. And then I start wondering if the phrase was true. But then I start thinking, would a dirty room have affected my mental state if I had never heard the phrase? Or if I had never heard the phrase would I have kept my room clean through a depressed mental state?
I gotta tell ya, I love how everything contradicts everything somewhere in the world. There are always exceptions.
Oh and if anyone's read Reasons to Live by Amy Hempel, I would love an explanation of what the hell that book is about!!! Okay I know its about the damn title but seriously, I had no clue what the fuck I was reading half the time. Does that even count as a story? Its a myriad of facts that has no real climax to it. I'm not sure if I should feel shallow and stupid after reading it or pissed off. I'm not interested enough to read it again at the moment even though I know if I ever want to figure the damn thing out I'll have to.
My computer fan is louder with a slighter higher pitch since I used the compressed air on it. I hope that just means its running faster.
And that whole thing in Schindler's List with the ash snow? Yeah let's just say dust is 90% human skin.
