I'm the most random person sometimes...
So I was taking myself a bath (yes, a bath) yesterday, when it hit me that I wanted to do something with my two days off. It was maybe two (2) in the afternoon when I got this idea to drive to Las Vegas. Sure enough, I was on the road by four o'clock. Which really wasn't the best idea, because I was stuck in traffic. After an hour of being on the road, I did a 180 and came back home.
Christina called. I told her about my failed attempt of driving to Las Vegas, and she told me that she'd join me if I wanted to try it again. She even offered to let us use her car, so I accepted, and by seven o'clock, we were on the road. Just prior to midnight, we rolled onto Tropicana Avenue and wow... things sure have changed since I was 14.
We parked at Mandalay Bay and made our way around.. truth be told, I only brought a $1 bill with me. So I found the largest slot machine I could in The Luxor, put it in... and lost. I have a picture of this. Check it out.
Christina though left Vegas with four times more money than she arrived with, so congratulations to her. The only odd thing about it was that it was all in nickels. You see, the casino I work at in San Diego has these ticket vouchers that print that you hand in to any cashier for money, whereas Vegas machines will give you actual coins as payment. She hit cashout expecting a ticket, and she got somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 pounds of coins.
She paid for the tank of gas to get home with nickels. You should've seen the attendant's face.
We left for home at three a.m. and made it back to my place at seven o'clock, where we both passed out. Pretty good time from Vegas to San Diego. Good, quality fun.

I haven't been to Vegas since I've been of legal age to gamble... I was 19 the last time I was there, and I got kicked out of a casino for playing slot machines. But I made $5 first, so HA!
