I'm not sure what it is, but I've been hooked on the Deftones for the past month. There was a gal from Borders that I worked with who had a picture of Chino Moreno, lead singer, on her locker.. and I quite often teased her about it, threatening to tell her boyfriend.. etc etc. Shame on me.
Anyway, it's such an unconventional type of music for what I'm generally into. My first cassette tape that I ever owned was by Van Morrison. My second one was by Elton John (where I got my name, Daniel, from... thanks Mom). I was raised on Huey Lewis, CCR, Michael Jackson, The Police, Genesis, REM, Fleetwood Mac... to think I went from that to this sort of puts me in awe. There's so much music out there to soak up. I was thinking the other day that the human brain is an amazing thing. There are songs burried deep inside of my head that will lay dormant for literally years, till I hear a certain combonation of notes and chords, and as fast as lightning, lyrics will start spouting out of my mouth.. or I'll start whistling the harmony or backup vocals.
I've always been a bit on the musical side (played the sax in the marching band.. drums for a year, and everything else on ocassion ::runs and hides:: ), but to think... I actually feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up on end when I hear a guy let out a good scream in a song.
I have no idea what I'm getting at, so... I'm going to upload one (1) undetermined picture that I have taken, and then I'm going to strip naked and go stand in the shower for 10 minutes.

I know what you mean about feeling the hairs on the back of your neck stand up...Korn does that to me. *shiver*
(By the way, Tito the cat is adorable.)
