Hi everyone, how are all of you? I'm freezing my ass off. It was soo nice today and now Tuesday thru the weekend it's supposed to be cold and I HATE cold weather. Work sucked as usual. I've been tending to my dad's plants every weekend until he comes back, making sure that no plants die and I've been "borrowing" some food from his place and taking it home He gave me permission to, so I'm not doing anything illegal .
Gee, what else? Oh yeah, so I put an ad out on Myspace looking for a good metal band to play with and I got a reply back from a local band in Ames called Dying Eyes and the guy who sent me the message is a guy who I've corresponded with before, so that was kinda cool. He contacted me last year. Anywho, they are serious musicians looking for a 2nd guitar player, so I was like "maybe I'll audition for them, ask them some questions about the band before I committ to anything" so I have been messaging them back and forth on Myspace. They have some pretty big shows lined up for late November, early December. So that means I have to get my ass in gear and practice, practice, practice! Here's the problem tho. I haven't picked up my guitar in a little over a year or two, so I'm pretty rusty. I just wanna make a good impression on them with my guitar skills, being that I've been playing guitar off and on since I was 15. I've listened to their songs on their Myspace profie, getting a groove on what they play and where the intro, breakfdown and outro parts are. I'm kinda nervous though because I doubt my guitar skills a lot and I don't have a lot of self-confidence when I play or in general, so that might be my downfall. I've been looking for a good, talented band for a long time and these guys have a lot of musical experience behind them (all of them are from previous semi-famus local bands) so that's a plus since my old band had little to no talent at all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. I have no idea when I'm going to audition for them..but I will keep all of you posted. Wish me luck. I'm gonna go to bed now. Catch you all later.

Dude, cold sucks. My landlady has yet to turn the effing heat on. Although, it's supposed to be 70 out here today!
