I ended up having the day off so I've been spending my time cleaning my room while listening to various podcasts.
I've found that podcasts and audio-books are the only things that can keep my ADD in check while performing boring tasks such as putting away my laundry. Today Grammar Girl has taught me - someone already anal retentive about the english language - some pretty interesting things about writing and grammar. I also discovered that all those NPR programs that I always miss are available to download at any time from itunes. If only I realized this sooner. I'm so slow sometimes!
I'm still loving the new iMac so very much. I honestly never turn on the PC anymore. Unfortunately now I have to get rid of my beautiful IBM p275. It's a beast of a monitor and I just don't have the desk space for it, especially for something I never use anymore. It's such a good monitor I almost hate to get rid of it. Guess I'll do the ebay thing but I don't know how much shipping something like that would cost. I actually have a ton of things that I'd love to sell but it's always that shipping thing that holds me back. Why is it so intimidating?
As for its replacement, I already had an aggressive bidding on ebay this afternoon for a much more compact, slightly damaged but very cheap LCD monitor. Whoooo! That was exciting! I'm just glad time ran out when it did. I think $60 (shipping and all) isn't bad for a 19" Phillips LCD.
The only thing I'm lacking now is Photoshop for Mac. I've already been screwed over in purchasing what I thought was legit software but I only lost a lot of money on a ridiculous scam. I'm so angry and still without my software
I'm thinking of doing some commissioned art to help raise enough money so I can get the real deal this time. Damn you Adobe! Why do you have to make your stuff so expensive?
Any takers? I have paypal and even accept credit
Come on, even something small will help me out. I'll draw anything you want in any medium you want and I PROMISE you it won't suck.
ah well, I'm off <3
