I saw IAMX in Orlando last night. The show was amazing but some asshat stole my sketchbook.
Now you may be asking yourself, "What sort of idiot takes a sketchbook to a concert?"
I'll admit to being that idiot many a time. The most interesting people make appearances at small shows, and I like to take full advantage and draw said people whenever I can. However, this time I really wasn't planning on drawing anyone because that sketchbook was already full. The reason why I brought it to that particular show last night was that I had a drawing in it of Chris Corner that I was hoping I could get autographed by the man himself.
Now, the book wasn't oversized or anything but it was uncomfortable lugging it around all night so I set it down against a wall of sorts behind me while I went up to the stage and played screaming fangirl.
Lots of spilled alcohol, inappropriate touching, and an encore later I go back and like a thief in the night it had fled the scene....with some....thief...........................in the night.
"WTF?!" was my reaction, plain and simple. What on earth would someone do with some stranger's sketchbook? I dunno, but I think I'm going to keep an eye on ebay for a while.....geeze why didn't I think to do that?
I'm angry, but all I really want is the book back. It has a lot of my best sketchwork in there. If anyone sees someone with a roughly 8x10 spiral bound book that kinda looks like this:
and has the word "Ingenue" painted on the front in black and white, I'd appreciate a heads up
Whomever finds the culpret and blugeons him or her with a steel pipe and returns the sketchbook to me will be paid handsomely
in hugs.
I'd offer more but the boyfriend probably wouldn't appreciate that.

Wow, that's awful! I hope you left your info with the people at the concert venue, maybe it will turn up. Ugh, who steals a sketchbook?
