Monday was a peculiar day...
That doesn't mean it was bad, but it was a very uneasy day.
I made some really yummy meatless chili. Best batch yet I think. Every time I make chili my brother says how much he hated my ex's chili cause his "tastes like burning". He says that he didn't have any flavor to his chili other than "hot".
I forgot to buy fake meat from Wegmans today when I was there shopping. I was going to slip it in and see if my brother could taste the difference. I had the best time shopping and making chili. I love fall... it is almost here, I know cause I can smell it. This weekend I think I might be making applesauce! At least I hope so its all up to my apple supplier. 
I fixed up my house plants and got them a grow bulb for when it starts to get less sunny. I have an African Violet thanks to that same chili making ex mentioned above. It was nice of him to get it for me since the one that was my Grandmother's died almost a year to the date of her death.
Perhaps the strangest thing about the day was that there was something in the air, or rather on the wind. Like something is coming or has arrived that isn't quite right.
Apparently the SPCA was called by someone who also called them on my neighbor about his dog... so someone just hates everyone that lives in my duplex must be.
I was very relieved to know that it was not my neighbor or his girlfriend though, cause I like them both a lot. *sigh

that thing you're talking about... that feeling in the air... that scent on the wind... that musty yet sweet hint of the beginning of Autumn's dying touch... that first frost that will push life beneath the surface for the next six months... perhaps it feels wrong because you seem (to me) to be feeling so very alive...
