I got to see my girl Chrissy last night. It has been a year since last time I saw her. I likely would not have seen her if it weren't for her Dad being 'in poor health' (shall we say). I wish our visit had been under better circumstances. *sigh* At least I got to see her.
I love her so much and miss her a great deal. It was grand catching up with her and everything she has been up to since she moved to LI. She came over to my new (well, new to her since she moved before I did) house and got the 20 second tour since it is so small. Then we went to Starbucks and had those blended cream thningers, yum (sinfully delicious as I think one of them has almost the same amount of calories you need in a day )! We talked up a storm and by the time we finished our blended cream that our mouths/throats were dry... so she got us some weird expensive ethos water and then we continued to talk until they kicked us out cause they were closing and had to put the chairs inside.
When we got back to my house I gave her the scarf I made her for her birthday since I wont get to see her then and some other stuff I got her when I was visiting the boy in Victoria. She was thrilled, I dont think people do much like that for her, and I guess it is usually her getting things for people. I showed her the random painting I had done last week. She liked it which means a lot to me because she is an exceedingly talented artist.
I miss the times we had when she was here, however I am so happy she is where she is and doing what she is doing. NYC really is the best place for her without a doubt. If I could just pick up and go I would move out near her, and from what she said I would have a good chance at getting a management position at one of the Hot Topic stores out there. *sigh*
Here's a pic of the two of us last year the day before she left:
*note, I'm not the blonde one in this pic.
