It's been so hot this week, can hardly believe I'm in Scotland. I've been sat outside a lot of the time with the rabbit, or playing with the fancy new equipment in the college. It's been pretty awesome.

I suffered through clarinet, too, but enjoyed making music with the band. That was great, and I remember playing "Saturday in the Park." Later they needed more French horn players so I switched. That was better, and I liked the horn parts Handel's Water Music and Shostakovich's Night on Bald Mountain. But when I moved to an all-academic school without a band, I took up steel string acoustic guitar - better for solo dudes. Though I was never that good, I've recently been thinking about taking it back up again just for relaxation time.
Why upset by twenty? Is it that, without "-teen," you're longer on harsh self expectation? Is age thrusting you into the world?
