so probably time for a new blog. things been fairly quiet-ish (and frustrating - more later!) since tour, but heres some bits and bobs to keep you going...
video of us lot at Brighton:
video of us lot at Kingston:
quality is a bit dark and the sound is a bit shabby...but you get the drift.
did a couple of gigs this week, first since tour. should have been fun, except me and sarah had a ridiculous blazing row, and are now not speaking to each other.
its utterly unbelieveable. she is absolutely unable to have an adult conversation to sort out some very minor issues that have been bugging us since ireland. It basically ended up with me sitting there, while she screamed obscenities at me and told me what a cunt i was, all the while pointing out every single fault of mine she could muster. nice.
saw her at the next gig, and seems to think we should be ok. fuck that. i'm not backing down from this i'm afraid. seems her last bandmates were so scared of her, that after three years, they thought they'd split the band up rather than ask her to leave. I've since been told i have "balls" for standing up to her. shes such a fucking insecure child. oh well.
apart from that, had a few good nights out.
last weekend we had punk rock bowling and then a gig at The Fighting Cocks with my fave band from Leeds THE DAUNTLESS ELITE. managed to see them three times over the weekend, including a trip to Brighton which was fun.
weekend just gone i had a long overdue day out in London. went and saw WALL-E, which was awesome, then met our Ex-Singer Phil for a few beers, then met Jackie for a long-needed booze up and mexican evening, which we haven't done for ages.
done a lot of music shopping recently too. if you are so inclined, check out the following:
MILLOY - Creating Problems While Practicing Solutions (new cd on household name, awesome)
THE CUT UPS - Paris Street In Ruins (punk rock from Exeter)
GENE PITNEY - 20 Greatest Hits (awesome 60s pop rocknroll, total legend)
STREET DOGS - State Of Grace (new album, surprisingly great)
THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM - The 59 Sound (Hot Water Music & Against Me meets Springsteen, their new album, also awesome)
ALKALINE TRIO - Agony And Irony (new album, fuck you i like it a lot!)
HOT WATER MUSIC - Till The Wheels Fall Off (new cd of bsides and extras, absolutely cracking)
i'm sure there was more...i can't keep up.
looking forward to this weekend, seeing DIE SO FLUID on thursday, got a friends birthday on Friday, think i'm seeing Batman on saturday...and i got a date on Sunday!!!
think thats it for now people
