so one week back into playing the guitar again (through an AMP no less), and i think i'm getting ahead of myself and maybe a little too big for my boots... 
so after writing my first (admittedly very basic) song in nearly 15 years on sunday (it was a long time coming!), i then went and ordered this off amazon:
i mean, COME ON??!!! i know i used to be an awesome scary guitarist when i was younger, but really? Ideas above my station y'think?
gonna have a go at cracking "Sleepwalk" first i think....
honestly, watch this, this is AWESOME!
oh and there may even be a second song in the offing...something is brewing, but i need my lyric writing partner to pull her finger out...hehe
on tuesday went an saw GALLOWS @ The 100 Club in Oxford St with Jackie. it was good, but admittedly i had more fun hanging out at the ship and talking bollocks with her than i did seeing the band.
seen them 4 times this year - but they play the same set, have attracted a poser emo cunt following, and Frank talks WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH between songs.
admittedly, they are a pretty great live act, and the album is amazing, but i'm getting a bit bored of them - possibly because as a live experience, its not really my thing.
theres definately not enough "shout in your face" moments - the only one i can think of is when Frank shouts "YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN A FUCKING PRICK", and i feel bad shouting that at my friends!
Rest of the weekend looks a bit like this:
- going to see Ash tomorrow in a little venue with iannnnnn
- getting tattooed by Jackie again, this time on the left boob. can't wait!
- another gig, some sunday beers, and NANDOS!
have a good one y'all. i'm off to either a) try and be Brian Setzer, or b) play with my new camera....
