got in from work, started doing some extra curricular website stuff, which gave me a chance to have a good proper listen to some new Johnny Cash cds i got for my birthday...
so i played this first:

which is ace. the bloke really was a fucking legend. and the version of "Boy Named Sue" on this is amazing - especially when he screams "MY NAME IS SUE! HOW DO YOU DO? NOW YOU GONNA DIE!"
its a bloody fantastic album. however, once this finished i then stuck the next album on:

to be honest, it doesn't get much better than this. the set played on this CD is FIERCE to say the least. What an angry bastard he was! For the versions of "Folsom Prison Blues", "Cocaine Blues" and "I Got Stripes" alone, this is without doubt an essential CD.
