I just went to The Fighting Cocks in Kingston to go see The Peacocks again.
damn, that band are fucking GREAT!
and what a venue. ITS TINY!!! apparently it takes 100 people - although it seems to only actually able to take 20 people comfortably!
was a rather random night. i went on my own (a rare thing nowadays), but bumped into a few people. one of whom was some chap me and jackie met last friday at The Peacocks gig in Camden. i have no idea how he knew i'm from round this way, but he told me i should go to the gig. so i did.
second person was Lee that used to play with awesome london punksters FLETCHER back around 2004. not seen him for a while. he was chatty as always, but looks rough as fuck. lost a lot of weight. maybe he should keep off the speed? just a suggestion...
off to my parents for the weekend. i need a quiet weekend to chill out for a few days. going for a curry with me dad and cousin, will get to see my goddaughter (and see what she thinks of my new tattoo!), and probably get a couple of lie-ins.
am also gonna try and see Jackass 2 and Bond. not much else on at the cinema down there!
