I went over to Illinois this past weekend. The trip went fairly well. I had to go there for an engagement party for my ex's sister, that was slightly ackward but I knew it was going to be before I even got there. It would have been alright if his girlfriend didn't have such a big problem with me being there, I can't blame her though I completely understand why she was upset. But I wasn't too worried about it I am really good friends with his sister so I felt I had a reason to be there and his sister doesn't like her, so hopefully she felt more out of place than I did I didn't really talk to my ex while I was there so hopefully that made her feel better about the situation and realize that I was there for his sister and not for him at all. I prefer to have nothing to do with him. Here is a picture of me and the bride to be


Then on Sunday his other sister, her boyfriend and I went to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. That was a blast I never went there when I lived there so I was glad I got to go. And the have a family pass so I got in for free. Can't beat that.


here is a grizzley bear from the zoo, I would have to say the gorillas and the hippo were probably my favorite. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the hippo.

My mom is wanting to take a road trip this week and drive to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and then over to Wyoming to go to Yellowstone. I have never been to either place so I hope we go. That is really all that has been going on. I am back in Iowa for today at least and I never know what the week will bring. I am just trying to enjoy this as much as I can since I am stuck out here in BFE. I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Feel free to say hello
