Hey! Glad you could make it. You really need to get a watch. Their iced tea kicks ASS! I've already had 8 of 'em. So I hope you had a great V-Day and all that crap. Mine was good. I ate way too much Japanese food. From the sushi to the dessert, it was all quite tasty! Asahi beer and fried bananas go great together. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I really hate this holiday. You should be giving your loved one cards, candy, gifts and whatnot all year 'round. Could you pass me a Sweet n Low? Thanks!
Did you catch Jaoquin Phoenix on Letterman last week? Man, he's a mess these days. This inspired me to watch "Walk The Line" again. Haven't seen it since it was in the theatre. It's a great movie. I can't believe they actually released the soundtrack with JP singing. It was fine in the movie, but you remove it from context and it's a friggin' trainwreck. Try the nachos...they're out of this world. You know I'll help you finish them.
There's some bubbling in my employment tar pit. I sent a resume for this accounts payable/invoicing job. Yes, this sounds totally boring, but I really like doing this kinda stuff. There's also a chance that a very cool boutique might want me. I said that I didn't want to do retail management anymore, but this place is cool. It's completely counterproductive to my reasons for leaving my old job. It's a very ME job though...whatever the hell that means. Wish me luck. My savings is starting to dwindle. Don't pick the jalapenos off! They're the best part.
I spent the rest of my weekend recording. The aforementioned old (new to me) microphone sounds like the radio of a squad car. Love it. Although it's not quite right for this current project, it will be of great use to me. Basically, I keep re-recording the vocals for this song. I have never claimed to be a singer. It seems to be working out okay. I'm so picky. I could do this 1000 times and it would never sound right. One more tea and we'll go. I promise.
That's all I got. Not terribly exciting. This job thing does have my hopes up a bit. Down time is driving me nuts. You get the check this time. I'll get ya when I'm working again.

I don't know about Phoenix. He seems somewhat genuine (for a "movie star") but that's far from enough to guarantee his being a good musician. Haven't seen the Cash movie, got to put that on my list.
Not much to talk about either on my side. I enjoyed the 3-day weekend and tomorrow is already mid-(work)-week. Time just flies. It never ceases to amaze me.
