Well folks, I am at a very troublesome point in my life. Things are going well, too well. I have begun my search for graduate schools, more specifically, looking for labs that I would be interested in doing my PhD research with. I cant seem to isolate one specific type of science that interests me though.
On one hand I want to work in a development lab and study the genetic basis of behavior. On the other hand I want to find a lab that really digs deep into field work getting down and dirty with the critters. Im sure I can do both, but it seems everybody and their friggin uncle that does any kind of development work either plays with flies or worms; tiny ones at that. How boring!
I havent been able to devote much time to the search because of my duties at school, which bums me out. A tiny bird flew up to my shoulder and told me I should really get this process going over summer before the semester starts. Why tiny birdwhy did I not listen to those few and invaluable words?!?!?!
Ah well, I have a weekend getaway to Buffalo to think about it. Then next week, the applications begin. My parents bought my grandparents old house which my mother grew up in. Housing is cheap beans over there. They are picking up this huge ass Victorian, wood on the walls and floor, for next to nothing. Neat thing is if I end up going to SUNY, I get the house to myself until they retire. I promise to throw a wicked kegger if that day comes.
It looks like Ill be getting a new sexy lover.
I broke down and forked out a couple of clams for a new Trek Fuel 8. Thanks to difficulties with that online auction place, I will never buy a bike on there again. Or at least in a long time
Oh yeahand the Phi Mu was totally not interested. Next time maybe

The only babies I'm likely to steal are over 18 y.o. and female.
