ahhh, spring in Southern Ontario...

I literally could not go into Toronto today because I know the commute would end up taking more of my day than the time I'd actually spend there. Yesterday, which wasn't nearly as shitty as today weather wise, it took me two and a half hours to get home. It usually takes 45 minutes. *sigh* No use in getting all mad about it, whaddayagonnado?

And so today I will nurse my wickedly sore throat, and do my best to accomplish "stuff". And not beat myself up. That's 60ftqueenie's job.

I just found out my brother & sister-in-law, and my angel of a nephew are moving to Finland. We knew they were gearing their lives to move there for a while now, but there was some trouble with their visas because Stephanie's a severe diabetic and the health issue became a stumbling block for them. My brother and I have a very long and difficult history together, he's the one a while back who decided to berate me for leaving my marriage, and told me my struggles with depression are a figment of my overactive imagination. We were close as teenagers for a short time, but we don't have a relationship now, other than polite talk about my beautiful little nephew. So, they're leaving June 19, I've got a few more months to see the baby, and maybe resolve a few things with my brother... I'm not going to see Gabriel on his first birthday
