Highlights of my day:
-I'm doing phenomenally well in my Communications class this quarter. I got a 9/10 on my first paper, a 9.5/10 on my second and a 10/10 on the third. There is one more paper and a final, but I think I'm going to 4.0 or 3.9 that class. Yea!
-While looking at my credits and coursework so far I realized that I could very possibly graduate next year if I wanted to. Crazy. While I won't do that (as I want to stick around and have time for my Departmental Honors Thesis), it does allow me to attend school part-time for the next 2 years (meaning less $$$$ ) and also have the time to get a second job, focus mainly on research, and have time for GRE studying and applying to grad schools. Heck yes!
Lowlights of the day:
-I still do not have my computer, and had to return the one I was borrowing. When i called HP to get the status and ask them why the hell it wasn't here yet, I just got more problems. Apparently the service center wants to know if it's okay to do a system restore. To which I told the guy NO WAY. There is no reason they would need to fuck with the system on my computer--the damage was to the casing, not the software or hardware. I specifically told the to contact me in case of system restore, so I'm glad they asked, but they still didn't CONTACT me--I had to call them. So I have no clue whether they are done fixing the casing, or if they haven't started yet because they were waiting for my permission. Either way, I have to call back in 24 hours to see what the Service Center's response is to telling them no (there is no way to contact them directly, and even when I call back they might fight it and say they have to, which is bullshit), but that means that I don't have my computer today, I WON'T have it tomorrow, and who the hell knows when I WILL have it. *le sigh*
I put in another request to the school to get a computer again, but this time I only get it for 3 business days, and I can't get it until Wednesday. I REALLY hope that my actual computer is back to me by the time I have to return this other one, or I am going to be PISSED and HP is going to hear about it.
Overall:
I'm worn out. Very worn out. And I still have so much to do for Europe. Plus I've been all moody lately and my emotions have been crazy. I'm pretty depressed and feeling horrible--it's been like this for a week or so. I just don't feel motivated to do anything emotionally, and there's no reason specifically why. It's not because of any person or any thing, it's just a general hormonal thing. I just feel like being a hermit lately. Which is frustrating.
Anyway, I have three more hours on campus and have to get going. Can you tell I'm worn out? Gah! But at the same time some things are going so well for me, so I really can't complain too much.
