I'm in Portland. A lot of my stuff is set up and the room looks good. I have my own desk and pretty much full reign of the closet, haha. I still have some boxes stored at my dad's place that I'm going to either have him bring down to me or go get myself later tonight. Then I can finish unpacking the last bit of stuff. I've yet to brave the kitchen--our roommate is a slob and NEVER cleans anything up in there, and then gets super defensive and ridiculous when we ask him to clean shit. So I'll probably have the boy just help me tackle it tonight. I wouldn't even touch the kitchen if I didn't have to, but I brought dishes, cups, a better microwave than we have now, a George Foreman, pots, pans, and other misc kitchen supplies with me, so it needs to be done.
The only frustrating part of the whole situation is that we only have one vehicle, and it's a manual. I'm just learning to drive a manual and I am NOT comfortable driving it by myself yet. Also, my boyfriend works for a moving company and usually has to be at work really early before I'm ready to get up, so it's hard for me to drop him off so that I can have the car the rest of the day.
I think it'll get better when I start my job here next week. Then I'll probably HAVE to get up early, haha. I should probably learn the bus routes just in case, too.

I'm starting the hike from Ohio to Portland in a week and a half. At least you have a professional mover on your side... I'm just relying on drunken friends.
...I could never get the hang of a manual...good luck with that.
Break the car addiction.
