I know how physically demanding it is. It just doesn't interest me as a sport. I can't appreciate it for anything more than extreme bike riding. It's still bike riding. The guys in our warehouse are on their feet for eight hours a night and may load 40,000 lbs of groceries. That's pretty gruelling work, but I don't want to watch it. Not even the highlights. If I'm going to watch someone riding a bike, I'd rather it was the cute blond up the street.

I find it funny tha your poor dog 'recovers' after a bath. Both of mine, old and young, would run a country mile to avoid a bath, gloat cruely at the other if she was getting a bath and look deeply sad, offended and resentful for the rest of the eveing after. that being said they can smell the river or the sea or any stagnant pond/creek/puddle from miles put the ears down , go deaf and make straight for it...

Are Levellers 5 the same as The levellers? Cause The Levellers have been around since the late 80's. Could be a bit of a name shortening. They play kinda folky rock.

When i do the wheelbuilding segment i can build myself a set of wheels to keep but i need to buy the hubs and rims,but i get the spokes and nipples for free I just wish i could afford to buy DT Swiss gear. I can already ttue awheel and all that but wheelbuildings a bit of a dark art to me at the mo.Well now i've done the Facing and Tapping and alignment i can do your frame for you,and i'd build you a bike no probs,but i think i'll stay clear of actually welding a frame up, to many liabillity issues lol. I did used to do Fibre glassing,i wonder if Carbon Fibre's along the same lines

Aren't old pets the best? I just put a kitty down not too long ago who was 18 and he literally had been with me my entire adult life. I found him at a 7/11 on the corner of 70th and El Cajon Boulevard and I'm pretty sure he had never been indoors before. It took a while to socialize him too but it was an amazing and gratifying process. We were joined at the hip, him & me, and in his old age I had to do some extra little things to keep him comfy. But isn't it all worth it after all the love and joy they bring you? My vet told me that the sheer force of my love for that silly cat had prolonged his little kitty life at least a couple years and I'm sure you can say the same for Taffy. Hell, you probably prolonged that little pooch's life by TEN years, by the sounds of it. What a marvelous story, skooter. Thanks so much for sharing that.

And thanks also for the nice compliment about our pseudo straight ranks for the parade. I guess they really aren't all that bad considering the average age of our band members is about FIFTY!!! (Yeah, I'm the youngster among them!)
