Decaf coffee - pointless and yucky
coffee with caffiene - tolerable
coffee with caffiene and 2 lumps of sugar - super yummy.
As much as I like this French press, I am going to get a coffee machine so I can set it the night before to go off at the ungodly hour of 6:15 in the a.m. I really really tried to get up early yesterday but just went back to sleep. I got up at 8:15. It ain't gonna work if I want to get my run in before work, so I am getting a machine to start brewing the junk with the hope that the smell will get me out of bed.
Here's the press I bought:
It's the Bodum Brazil. Makes one glutton American size cup of coffee. It was like $8.00 online. It rocks. And Bodum have some cool shit.
Not overly impressed with my Krups grinder cuz it gives an uneven grind, but I'm not shelling out $150 for that other kind of grinder thingee.
So it's the press on weekends and holidays, and the machine on work days.
Anyhoo, last night on tv was the UCI track championships from Marsaille or Bordeaux, can't recall which. I couldn't believe this was on basic cable. It was on CN8 for all you east coast Comcast peeps. If you've never seen the legs of a male (or female for that matter, but I am more interested in the males) track cyclist, you have not lived.
Marty Nothstein:
Marty has slimmed down a bit though since he moved over to road. He's kinda old now, isn't he?
Then I watched
Rwanda is the enduring shame of the Clinton administration, the west generally, the colonial powers, the French particularly (they dug mass graves for tens of thousands of the slaughtered by the Hutus, and did their part to hide the story...and the evidence) and the UN.
Cheadle was very sympathetic in his portrayal, but I really liked Nick Nolte's performance. he oozed shame and desperation and was very moving.
I have so much crap to do this weekend I am feeling sort of overwhelmed. I am going to make a list, go through it one by one, and just do one room at a time.
I just heard on the radio that Los Lobos are coming in either August or October. I am soooo there. I fricken LOVE that band from East LA.
Good thing is I am all buzzed up thanks to the coffee. Can you tell?
The sun is coming out. Here comes the sun, scooby doobey...time to get out in it.

Glad you liked the picture in my journal. I'm kind of a picture finding bender right now and it was a definite gem!
