So I've been getting lots of work done at work this week. I'm working on a fee application for a huge bankruptcy/trustee case that's 8 years old and still hasn't been submitted for payment yet. Silly attorney, stuck his head in the sand and "forgot" about it. Fricken' 100k sitting around NOT in the firms bank account. Which is better: $ in your account, or $ sitting in another account that you can look at but not touch till you get your paperwork done?

Have you ever had someone think he/she "loved" you, but you knew deep down that it was really pity? I think the impulse to rescue is easily confused with the feeling of romantic love.

Edit to add: Dammit, I wish CSI:NY wasn't on so late. I'm tired and I want to go to bed. 10pm is after my bedtime on a weeknight. Dang I'm old...
