I finallyfigured out and finalized my race schedule for this year. I am decided that I will do no tris this year due to lack of funds and lack of time to train 3 events. So I am only running, which is fine at this point with all I have going on. I'll ride if I have time, but the run is my big priority.
So, without further ado, here's my schedule:
April 2 - 8 Mile race in Florence - no, not Italy.
April 6 - 26 week series of Monday night 5k off-road races. Good for group running and speed. Gots ta get in the speed work.
April 24 - 23 week series of Thursday night 5k off-road races. See above. Different location, so if I miss Mondays I can do Thursdays. Cool. It's good to have a back-up.
April 30 - 5k road race
May 13 - 10k road race
June 25 - Fairfield Ct Half-Marathon - my first! It's at the beach, and my friends are going to come cheer me on. And I talked Kim into doing the 5k!!!! Yeah Kim!! She lost 30 lbs and looks HOT now.
Aug 20 - 10 k. should be recovered, but if not I'll skip this. Don't want injuries because...
October 14 - Hartford Half-Marathon.
I can't decide between that ^^^^ one or this one:
November 13 - Monson Half
Don't have enough miles in my legs to do both cuz they are too close together to recover properly.
So, my first half in 19 weeks away and my training plan is 17 weeks. Gotta hop to it!
In other news...
Second interview today, and got a call for another interview at another place for Monday.
I need a pic for today. Don't know what though. I'll be back when I decide.
OK - It's Dean Karnazes, Ultra-marathon runner dude and total hottie:
and for those of you who complain incessantly about stupid shit and make a lifestyle of feeling sorry for yourselves, suck it the fuck up - this chick (Sarah Rheinertson - sp?) was at my first tri and she kicked my ass on the run. She completed Ironman Hawaii last year. No biggie, you think; lots of people do that stupid race. Well, look closely and you'll notice she does not have a left leg, and she can kick your ass:

Quite the training/race schedule you've got! Good luck and perseverance to you always! (and I totally laughed at your "suck it up" comment. There are LOTS of whiners hanging around this place, aren't there? Do I have a get-out-of-jail-free card for my brain hemorrhage??? God, I hope so!)
