I am a firm believer that it is significant when we get a song stuck in our head; we should look at the meaning of the lyric and figure out how it relates. So, I woke with this gem by Mr. Elvis Costello (greatness):

Im going to get a lot of grief
Once this seemed so appealing
Now I am beyond belief


And I have to say that this is quite accurate regarding some idealized notions about my life that I held until very recently. I am now, in fact, beyond belief about said notions.

I sometimes seek approval from unrealistic sources. I have decided to stop doing this.
