Here's a fun flash back! Story time!!
There aren't many photos, but about 7 years ago I decided on a whim to dye my natural ginger hair black. It was a random L'Oréal packet that ended up patchy and uneven... My hair was such shit quality, but it didn't last long, because only a couple of months later I decided it would be a smart idea to packet strip and bleach my hair from this to platinum straw. I well fucked my hair and had to seek out a quality hair dresser to fix all the damage... It was so bad my hair had to be cut shorter by about 5 inches, but they saved it and I've been with them ever since. (Shout out to Tussta Salon in Kiama and their magic work)
On Wednesday, I'm taking the plunge and going back to a variation of black... (gotta keep some things a surprise) but this time in the hands of an amazing trusted professional that I've seen for years and who knows what they're doing and not in the ignorant baby me hands.... I'm legit shitting myself. I love my red hair, I'm very proud or my heritage and having a legit claim to being a mutant (still waiting on my visit from Professor X), but this is something I've wanted to do for a very very long time and I know if I don't do it now I'll just regret it and it will plague me until I snap.
Send me well wishes and positive vibes because for most it's just hair, it will grow back, it can be changed again, but to me it's a really big thing and I'm actually a fair bit scared.
