Today was, according to every person in the Records department, the slowest day they've had in at least the last 6 years. That was good for everyone except me, as the only training I've gotten occurs in the middle of me taking a report from some poor unwitting officer. Today I took every report that came to my trainer's desk--more than what went to any other phone in the place, by the way.
The staggering number? 4 reports: two call-ins, two walk-ins. I'm off tomorrow, and Saturday evening, I'm off to the races--my first night as a full-fledged Desk Officer.
