Today's Quote: (possibly paraphrased)
"I intend to create an Advisory Commitee, made up of people of both political parties, on the War on Terror." - President George W. Bush *coughdouchebagcough*
"Hmm... A group of people of both parties to advise the president on things. Where had I seen something like that before? Oh yeah. CONGRESS!!!" - John Stewart
Another reason I love the Daily Show.![biggrin](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/biggrin.b730b6165809.gif)
I realize im getting old when Im watching Hilary's Iowa Town Meeting on C-SPAN as opposed to watching something a little more entertaining.![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
i got a Job opportunity with Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), the gaming department. It sounds like a great opportunity, and my zeal for a paycheck may have shadowed my desires FOR such a job. It's a Marketing Rep Job. I run around to about 80+ stores in a month to help promote Sony's Products. Sounds like a great entry-level job. My trouble is, I don't care about money, therefore I really don't care about marketing. I LOVE the game industry, but I really dont have any training to grant me any other opportunities in the gaming field. If I take this job, I'll work myself to the bone for that job, no doubt about that, but I wouldn't give myself time for anything else, like training in a more technical gaming field.
I could get a lesser paying throwaway job (temp, or simple 9-to-5er with no real career aspects), and I would have the time to get some training in the field I REALLY want to work in, but I wouldn't be paid as much and therefore my goals and aspirations would be put on hold longer.
Choices choices. Maybe if I make it to the Training phase for the Sony job I'll know for sure.
