it's been for-ev-uh since i updated my journal. if anyone actually reads it on a regular basis, sorry. i'll try and recap everything to the best of my ability.
finals went okay. my grades ended up being not too shabby. i went back home for a while and got to hang with my friend aaron who i haven't seen since last may. good times with the olde, high school crew. i went to lawrence kansas for xmas to see family. kinda sucked at first because i was sick, feeling shitty with a really terrible sore throat. the plus sides: i got to see all my family. my one niece is starting to talk (she can kinda say my name, i think 'da dee deek' is good enough) and the other is starting to stand up and walk. my nephew was also doing well. another plus is that i got to go to my favorite record store, the love garden and blow a bunch of cash on cool music.
new years was alright. played scatagories and drank wine.
i finally got around to turning 21. went to a snooty wine bar with some friends and felt totally out of place, then went to a really down to earth (i.e. dive) bar and had a pabst. swung by a gay bar and sang a nice and sloppy kareeoke version of sweet jane. had a night cap and then went home. it was nice.
right now i'm really wishing i could get ahold of kris. i miss her a lot, and not just the sexy stuff either. really, REALLY hope i get to see her tonight. i'm going to have to swing by her appartment even though it seems kinda creepy stalker like, that's how much i want to see her. but maybe i shouldn't hope for too much. what happens happens.
finished reading the 4th harry potter book. things are kicking into high gear it seems. have also been listening to a lot of death in june. i highly recommend the album 'but what ends when the symbols shatter?' if you can find it, but it's probably just easier to order it off of amazon.com. cool folk style stuff with industrial influences.
