Ah, today was a good day. My boss was out of town for two days and I got so much work done. He wasn't expecting it when he got back, and I said, "hey, Walter, I finished the upfits for the salon and fitness center, if you want to take a look at them". He said, "Hey! you're finished!" And he looked over them and said, "good job, thank you."
Excellent! I have never heard him say good job or thank you. I think this puts me in a new league. Yes, this is a blatant boast, however in my two months of working at this firm, this is the first time I feel totally on top of my game, AND a compliment from the boss man is hard to come by. If I keep it up, I imagine I'll get more interesting projects, AND more creative input...always a good thing.
So, matt and i are checking out this swank house on dixie trail this weekend that we REALLY want to move into. it's this very well kept three bedroom, with a beautiful yard and deck, and supposedly a greenhouse, which would make matt oh so happy. we peeked into the windows, it's a complete steal, everything looks meticuliously well kept. we were supposed to live with leigh and her friend, but her friend waffled and decided she didn't want to live with so many people at the last minute, and leigh felt obligated to live with her...very annoying. but at any rate, our roommate at this point, a friend of matt's, is very cool, and should make for a good living situation. especially if we get this amazing house! The owners lived in it for 20 years and just recently decided to move. I'm ready to give to give the landlord my deposit right away, he mentioned something about other potential tenants, but perhaps if we show that we are eager to get it immediately, we'll be in.
one of my coworkers gave birth to a little girl yesterday and a group of us went to the hospital to see the baby. she's really cute. another coworker started talking about what a perfect little lady she is and how she can't wait to buy frilly pink dresses for her. so weird...how do you know that this newborn is a perfect little lady? this was the same woman who said that her husband would rather not have any girls because he would "worry more". "you know", she said, "dad's tend to worry more about girls, that they'll get hurt, or get in trouble in their teens." no, lady, i don't know...don't let your husband's weird gender bias dictate the direction of your family. oh well...at any rate the baby was beautiful and not fussy at all.
This girl Myra whose set posted today looks so much like my boyfriend's younger sister....
past my bedtime...good night!

Eww, frilly pink dresses? I hope their daughter is a lesbian and they freak out and have to accept that femininity is not for every woman because they love her anyway.
So, my exams end Tuesday. We should get some coffee or something soon!
Guess what! My new set got in. I'm a Limbo Girl now. Yay!
