Today I go and play with some guys that are trying to get a band together. The singer shot me an Instant Message out of the middle of nowhere "So, you play bass right?" Yes I do. One thing led to another and we made plans to all get together and see if I can dig their stuff. I asked the question "So what kind of sound are you all going for?" The reply was less than astounding: Staind, Linkin Park, Evanescence. He's just listing bands I would rather have not exist. But then he says out of the middle of nowhere "In Flames." That was all I needed. Give me my fucking bass.
