It Seems that I can only operate this site once a year,
Here is my fast forward in time.
I now am Owner opperators of a fully functioning Bar and Grill. The Oberon has become my lifes focus. I have now had the experience of firing friends, being hosed by vendor and contractors, and signing my name on the line of doom to get the loan to make it all happen...I sill want to kill my plumber.
This last weekend, the one including Valentines Day, showed me that This business can be a sucsess. We did over 200 guests on Saturday, and followed it up with about 110 on Sunday. I have to say that while I was working my fourth 15 hour shift of the week on Monday I just about lost it. We got a call from one of the Saturday guests who just wanted to say thank you for a wonderfull experience. I had put some much emotional and physical energy into making it happen that I had lost sight of what we had achived. It was good I was working the line alone, becauce for the next twenty minutes I was crying while cooking the tickets that I had on the rail.
Joy has a way within Life. I also am going to become a Father. My Wife, Suzanne is Due in August. At that point my focus will change again. I can only imagine how. I truely can not wait. Who will this person become. I get to share all of the things that gave me wonder growing up. They are so doomed and don;t even know it yet. Suz says I haveto waot atleast 6-7 years before they can wash dishes though. Well, Atleast I have some cheap labor on the way.

Glad to hear that you're working the kinks out of the new restaurant routine, and that it's being successful. The economy in Eureka seemed a bit slow when we were there over Christmas.
