ok, so i fall asleep at my friend's house, wake up, and come home at about 7:30
im in the kitchen, feeding the cat, and i hear a very loud noise that starts out like some sort of mechanical groan coming over an antique radio, which then builds to a sound such as you might expect from a ghost, very malicious and very, VERY human(ish)
it sounded like a garbled radio transmission in a dead language being forced through the throat of a corpse skull
it sounded like it was coming out of the wall in my hall between the hall and the bedroom, but that's a solid plaster wall
my computer is at the other end of the hall, but it was in rest mode and no programs were running, and when i played music, it was waay softer than the sound was
it also sounded too real, more like a record
you know what........it sounded like it was coming from behind this old metal hospital end table i have..........
*chills*
so i was frozen while the sound lasted (about three seconds) so i didn't run out of the kitchen to see exactly where it came from
nothing else in the house was on......
i was SERIOUSLY freaked out, i had to go sit on the porch for awhile (at least it was daylight out)
i've decided to decide it was the computer through some fluke, and get on with my life
what do you think? any ghost stories?

I lived in a house that was haunted for a few years in Brussels. There were creaks in the night, but not normal house-settling-down creaks, footstep creaks in the hallway. And the toilets used to randomly flush when I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth.
