I am doing much better. Things are coming along:
1. We have settled on a moving date of August 1st...yes, we like to plan in advance
2. Winter has not treated me very well - I have had multiple incidents with snow and ice and one incident with a garage door and the car breaking. I love love love my car though. I feel actual love for my car, how ridiculous is that? If I could hug it I really would.
3. This week has been crazy busy. Last night was our staff christmas party. I had a lot of fun - we also had a supplier in who has made it very clear he would get in my pants if he could. At one point I was offered as payment if this guy could find a certain type of biscuit. My boss was very, very drunk at the time. I can't remember laughing so hard and so much in a long time. Aside from that everyone was well behaved.
4. My boss signed the papers to the new office building on Tuesday. Holy fuck I am so excited to move. He is talking about decorating the new place as our advertising agency has decorated their offices....lots of deep colours, couches, a jukebox, open concept, ambient lighting, and weird paraphernalia. Crossing my fingers for the middle office on the 2nd floor, the really cozy one....
5. I almost forgot: I found out last week that I got a raise back in July, only it never went through and nobody told me....so now I am making more money, and I am getting a lump sum for the retroactive payments to the tune of $700. I am certainly glad I stayed where I am.
6. For 2008 my goal is going to be to eat sushi. I have tried to try it, but have failed every time. I feel like I am on Fear Factor. But they say that you can acquire a taste for things if you try them a number of times, so I am going to try to acquire a taste for sushi next year.
7. We had a champagne reception this morning in the new building with some insight back into the past year. The company has grown significantly, and I am quite pleased to report that Spring sales for next year have quintupled over last year --> Going on the resume for sure, but may be hard to beat for 2009.....
Things are pretty much awesome right now, definitely needed it. And very much looking forward to some downtime over Christmas!
