I had to miss my performance yesterday. Saturday afternoon I went to a chiropractor about my neck and he said that I should not be doing anything physical for at least 2 weeks. I have done a fair amount of damage to the muscle in my neck, but as long as I don't do any more damage to it I should not face any permanent problems. I do however have to go for physio.
I am going to push to have my car written off. We will see what the insurance company says tomorrow. I think I have a bit of a fight on my hands.
So rather than dance last night I watched from the audience. It was a different perspective, and it made me think that perhaps it is time to go solo. It seems as though every class there is one or two people who don't put the effort in, and come the performance it shows. I put a lot of work into it, and I get frustrated when we have a lacklustre performance because people don't put the effort in. I would certainly miss the interaction with the other women, but I don't just do this for fun, I take it more seriously than that.
S helped a lot this weekend, I am so grateful - carried my purse when my neck started to hurt, waited with me at the doctor's, helped me put together the portfolios for work Friday night, bought me a nice pair of shoes to wear tomorrow, and so many other little things that made my life easier, and made this whole ordeal easier to swallow.
Conference starts tomorrow - the chaos is almost over!
Hope everyone has a great week!
And to you, and you'll know who you are when you read this, as I'm sure you've managed to find your way here as well.....
To clear up any misconceptions you may have made: my life is too full to give either of you a second thought, so please stop making assumptions. I have no desire to see, speak, or communicate on any level. I also have no desire to hear from either one of you. Anything you may have read here or anywhere else and made the assumption that I was referring to you or him are false. Your seeming preoccupation with my life is flattering, but please go away. I have no intention of ever forgiving the things you have said, and therefore I want every last bit of you gone from my life - unfortunately that also includes him - so please stop now.

and yeah, that was an insanely fucked up situation. i'm hoping it never happens again, but next time I think instead of kicking the person in the face first, i'll do it after they are on the ground.
