Feeling lazy, so I'm going to start recycling some OLD blog posts from my wordpress account. Enjoy! lol
Life is entirely too short to be walking on eggshells and trying to impress everyone. Some may call me rude, but I dont believe in lying. If you ask me a question, you better believe Im going to give you my true opinion. If I dont like you, I wont hide it.
On the same note, I dont think that permits me to be a perpetual b*tch, either. I believe in Karma. Since our lives are so short, we should make them as enjoyable for ourselves (AND others) as we possibly can.
I believe it is possible that there is a god, God, God. I find it just as plausible that there could be Gods. Or that we are solely creatures of science and evolution. In my opinion, polytheism is much more believable of the theistic beliefs. I, personally am just a spiritual person. I lean more towards the Pagan side without any of the practice. Just the mindset.
Paganistic rules are so much easier to follow. The Wiccan Rede simply states;
Abide the Wiccan Law, we must/In perfect love, in perfect trust/Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill/An Ye Harm None, Do As Ye Will/What ye send out, comes back to ye/So ever mind the Rule Of Three/Follow this with mind and heart/And merry ye meet, and merry ye part.
No huge bible, Quran or anything else. Just a simple rhyme telling you to harm none and know that whatever you do will come back to you threefold. Pagans arent in it for the money or the social networking. Just for the Earth and the gods/goddesses they CAN OR CHOOSE NOT to worship.
And for those of you who are hating me right now for my opinions, look to the past. Before Christianity. Most holidays originate from Paganism. It was here first. The Christian symbol was originally the star, or PENTAGRAM. Then, the people realized Jesus legs were crossed and not apart. The star represents many things, one of them being a goddess (her head, arms and legs being the points of the star) lying under the moon (the circle encompassing the star. When this was realized, the symbol was suddenly evil and they turned to the cross instead.
I completely believe there is the possibility of a god. But I grew up in a private Christian school. A place of contradictions. I cannot be a fan of a religion that says you will be punished for using your ability to choose. The ability which god is said to have given us. A religion based on conversion instead of acceptance is not for me. If Im damned to hell, so be it.
I try to respect the earth and others while simultaneously refusing to be stepped on or told that Im wrong for thinking differently.
That is my religion. (submitted Nov. 5th, 2010)
