done with week one of South Beach Diet and I have lost 7lbs!!!!!!
the first two weeks you do NO grains, rice, fruit, sugar and... no ALCOHOL Mostly lean cuts of meat, eggs and veggies galore a bit dull.
so one more week and I have club Hell and a going away party to go to with these restrictions..
but on the other hand a possible 7 more pounds to come off.. You can't do the first phase for more than 2 weeks, it's not really meant to. It's just meant to be like a carb and sugar cleanse as well as a quick weight loss boost to inspire you..
Well I am inspired and in just one week I have learned alot about my eating habits and food in general.
Like:
- most low fat food is very high in sugar and carbs
- I wasn't eating nearly enough veggies
-there is so much hidden sugar in our everyday food (especially high fructose corn syrup)
We ( the hubby and I) did this diet a few years ago and lost alot of weight on it, but it all came back because as a whole it is a bit unrealistic in how I would really eat. So we both rebounded. But it does make a quick reset button for our eating habits and in another week we will start on a modified version of the phase 2.. Plus we have both been getting workouts with Wii Fit..

That sheep ranch for doggies sounds awesome!
We have heard of one that is close where he'd get to herd horses, but its a lengthy interview process and then its around $100/day.
for that much... i would rather just dress up like a sheep and have him chase me around the park. lol.
