Last Nights show went pretty good. Sold a few things and got to see several friends that I have not had time to see in quite a while... The gallery is having another party tonight so if you are in the valley stop on by.. They are also leaving the art up for longer and putting up on their virtual gallery online. so maybe a few more things may sell.
This show had art from as long ago as 1998 and as recent as February. It was neat for me to see the progression of my work over the years. MorningStar had hung it all for me in a progression from earliest to latest works. Most of the art had been stored away so I had never see all of it together. It gives me great inspiration to keep growing and developing as an artist. Many of the older pieces were ones that I didn't want to sell, I loved them so much, but I am learning to let go. My home is way too small to keep them all and besides I need to make a place for my new art...
So today is the first since my return from Japan that isn't scheduled to the end.. The only "HAVE TO" on my list is to go to the gallery tonight and set up for the party. Most of my time since my return has been busy with a book signing, getting ready for this show and finishing the paintings for Crazy for Cult show in August (paintings still not done). So with an entire day to do nothing, something I have been dying for, I find my mind trying to fill it with stuff to do. I have been going and going for so long I think I have forgotten how to stop.
trying to stop.... get some well deserved r&r

ok so I am completely incapables of stopping at home. Usually I go to Michigan for 10 days every summer where I just do nothing but relax and play video games with my parents.. but at home I just can't do it. but I am cleaning a bit and trying to get stuff ready to go on Craigs list.. We have way too much stuff in our apartment and in the interest of saving money and room we are going to clear out items that we haven't used in the past 2 years... Hopefully with the money we can buy some new seating for the living room so more than 2 people can come visit us at a time. As well as have a place to have people over in... ok back to cleaning, surprisingly this is making me feel better...

Cleaning makes me happy. It clears my mind. I love the new profile pics I saw a few Japan pics, tagged from myspace, do you have more online?
