I have been exhausted for the last few days. Not eating regularly combined with multiple nights of late drinking at the bar, has left me in a weakened state. And instead of correcting this matter right now (at 1:30 am local time), I am catching up with the last few days here. Which is not a futile project by any ruler, as this act helps to organize recent events in my mind and relax me much more than I would have ever imagined.
Wednesday night the Ditty Bops performed far beyond my abilities at hyperbole to sufficiently describe. Much as I had feared, I have a gigantic crush on Amanda. Tall, short red hair, sings, plays the mandolin, and so much more. After the show I purchased their album and had one of the promo posters signed. While this angel was decorating said poster, she thanked me for dancing and complimented my jitterbug. I, myself, was far to intimidated by her to properly respond with anything beyond a mere thank you and a goofy grin.
I stayed a while after they finished, just drinking and socializing at the bar. Another cute, young damsel was celebrating her twenty fifth birthday and I think I made friends with her. I may be mistaken, but I believe that her and her friends had been discussing me for a while that evening and I think they even attempted to sneak a photo or two of me. I assume, if it is true, that this is largely in fact to the gorgeous suit I was wearing and the embodiment of an earlier age within.
I also spent a period talking to a friend who revealed that he had a Big Brother when he was younger. It was fascinating to hear his reflections upon that years later. While talking with him I ended up with the saki that had been poured for another. Three shots of that, combined with the multiple glasses of jameson's I had already consumed left me in a great mind set as I left the bar and came home. Unfortunately the next morning's dehydration did not agree with that quite as well.
Thursday continued the high paced hustle and bustle which has become the norm at work and when I returned to the bar to meet with a friend that evening it was greatly needed. Once again though I stayed out much later than I should have. Good conversation made the time pass with prodigious rate and while I could have used a bit of sleep, I do not wish to change anything.
Tonight, after dinner with my parents, where it was revealed that my father is definite for the new job in Texas, I stepped out for a few hours to see Jessica, who is up from Vegas for the weekend. The two bands at the Zephyr (The Wax Models and 5thirty5) were, while not up to the visual standard set by the Ditty Bops, were almost as entertaining, though in an alternate style. Sadly, I left a bit early as I was having a hard time keeping myself conscious.
Which leaves me here, alone with my bird and in dire need of some real rest. Rest which I shall leave in search of momentarily.

Being a Big Brother sounds like tons of fun! I might have to try. Being a Big Sister, that is. Why did you decide to join?
