In a major deviation to what I originally had planned for today, I decided to watch Wild Things this afternoon. It is one of my most favourite films of all time.
Granted, the script is jam-packed with cliches and the acting is remarkably wooden but I like it for three fundamental reasons:-
1)Neve Campbell's character. I can't explain it but I find the whole dyed-hair-bad-girl-trashy-yet-intelligent-type very, very arousing.
2)The sound track features K's Choice, a hugely underrated band.
3) Most importantly, there is a line at the end of the film:-
"Old lady had her tested once; said her IQ was way up there, around 200 or some such shit. The girl could do anything if she put her mind to it"
There is alot of meaning for me in that line and it always gets me back on track. I just need a little nudge every now and again to remind myself.
Anyway, I am happy once again.
And very sunburnt.

It's still really muggy and humid in Edinburgh right now, it's going to pour down I can feel it.
