I SAW MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, LIVE AT THE BRIXTON ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What can I say other than fucking awesome?
Yes indeed, ladies and gentlemen, I have finally popped my gig cherry (Michael Jackson at Wembley Stadium doesn't really count) by witnessing one of the best live performances ever by one of the best bands in the world ever. I jumped up and down, I danced like a spazzy Geography teacher, I sang loudly and flatly and left the gig sweating like a hooer but my oh my did I have a top time. Oh yes indeedie. Opening song: Thanks for the Venom. Closing song: I'm not okay. My two faves in the whole world. Go see My Chemical romance and they will rock you big time. More on my sweaty antics with thousands of 16 year old girls later....
Speaking of doing things for the first time, I also managed to tick 'Eating Sushi' off my list of things to try once and this achievement I owe to the lovely, vivacious, beautiful and downright sweet Rainwolfkin, whom I had the utter pleasure of spending some quality time with. I must admit the thought of eating raw squid and crab claws has always struck me as being rather vom-inducing, but the company of Rain and the somewhat hypnotic way the train of food slowly snakes around the entire Yo! Sushi restaurant made the whole experience very nice indeed. And I haven't yet been sick either, which is always a plus as far as I am concerned.
Pleanty of other things to talk about too....
I am currently touring the south coast of the UK visiting friends and family and am hoping to catch a firework diplays or two before I fly home. Happy Firework Night everyone!!
I am still giddy from the excellent few days I have spent in the UK and I thank everyone who has directly or indirectly made it such a memorable event. Invariably I shall try to elaborate and make sense when I am a little more calm and collected and have retruned to Jersey.
Yay for everything!
